It has been a year since the fall of the Hellmouth in Sunnydale, CA. In the nearby city of Los Angeles, the Senior Partners of Wolfram and Hart have reverted the city back from its hellish dimension. The battle between good and evil has reached a kind of tenuous calm.
Buffy Summers, Xander Harris, and Willow Rosenberg have set up base in Scotland, forming the infant faction, the Slayer Organization, in an attempt to unite many of the new Slayers. In the meantime, Rupert Giles has returned to England to create a new Watcher's Council, reforming the fountain of knowledge the former Council once offered, but without the limited views of its predecessor. Cells of Slayers and Watchers have been popping up all over the globe.
Back in Los Angeles, Angel Investigations and Co are piecing themselves back together after their time in Hell. Some have returned to Wolfram and Hart, attempting to use its resources for good. Others have turned their back on that vision in favor of their own methods.
While the white hats are circling the wagons, though, so, too, is evil taking this opportunity to gain their strength. It will not be long before the lull is shattered, and the battle surges anew.
